Building News

It’s been a long time since we’ve had any significant news regarding Building Frimley’s Bigger Future. After some 18 months since the launch of this idea, much to-ing and fro-ing we can now confirm with excitement that we now have planning permission for our new building!

We are all happy and relieved that this process has come to an end, it has been fraught with problems and there have been some bumps along the way. Due to objections we have had to make some minor amendments to the final plans, but our architect, Casper, has ensured that we will not be compromising on precious workspace. So this means we can now finally move on to the next big stage…Fundraising!

We have decided to appoint a professional fundraiser to help us raise most of the money. We have already met with one who believes that our objective is achievable, but we feel its a good idea to speak to a few to get a good idea of how we can do this.

In the meantime, it is really important that we do as much fundraising of our own as we can because every little really does count! So our plans for 2020 include fundraising, fundraising and more fundraising and we hope to have some fun while we’re doing it! We hope that with the support of our membership, staff, parents and carers, we will see the beginnings of this exciting new building start to take shape. If you have any ideas regarding fundraising or know someone we should talk to regarding raising this money, then we’d love to hear from you. You can show your support by helping and attending our planned fundraising events this year.
