Relief Support Worker – Westwood Residential Care Home
At Hastings and Bexhill Mencap, we believe everyone deserves a happy, active, and fulfilling life. We are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Relief Support Workers to join our friendly team at Westwood, our welcoming residential care home supporting 9 adults with learning disabilities.
This is a relief position initially, with the likelihood of becoming permanent for the right person. Relief work at Westwood often leads to regular hours and long-term opportunities within our wider organisation.
About the Role
No two days are the same at Westwood. You will be supporting residents to:
Run and enjoy their home
Access the local community
Attend appointments
Visit local parks, cafés, gigs and events
Spend time with family and friends
Enjoy holidays and day trips
Build independence, confidence and life skills
Westwood is a sunny, bright and well-maintained home with a warm and supportive atmosphere. You’ll be part of a friendly team, with the backing of the wider Hastings and Bexhill Mencap organisation.
What We’re Looking For

Experience is welcome but not essential — full training will be provided. DBS Enhanced check (provided) and references required.
Pay
£12.71 – £13.71 per hour

Relief Support Work
We rely on a bank of support staff to support our teams accross our day services and our care home. Hours are flexible depending on need. If you would like to find out more about support work, please feel free to call the office, or download our application form below. All applications are subject to Enhanced DBS checks and references.
Volunteering Opportunities
We welcome applications from people wishing to volunteer for us. Volunteering opportunities may be available on our Board of Trustees, within our Social Clubs, our Day Services or our Charity Shop.
